My front-line role

I am the Liberal Democrat County Councillor for St Stephen’s division. The ‘Your Community’ section provides local service information, news, events, and contacts about the area. I represent the interests of around 13,000 residents of the communities in St Stephen’s Division. I work with the local City and District and Parish Councils.

My County Council responsibilities

I was first elected in May 1993 and most recently I have sat on various Cabinet Panels and Committees including the Children’s Services & Corporate Parenting and Education & Skills Cabinet Panels. All children, especially vulnerable children, are my main focus.

Highways continues to account for a tremendous part of my time too, as I work tirelessly to get our local roads and footpaths up to a decent standard.

Personal, professional and political details

I am also a St Albans District Councillor and currently have the honour of holding the office of Mayor of St Albans for 2011/12.
