My front-line role
I am the Labour Party County Councillor for St. Nicholas in Stevenage which covers the Martins Wood and St. Nicholas Woodfield (part) District Council wards. I represent the interest of around 15,132 residents of the communities. The Community section provides local service information, news, events, and contacts about the area.
As is the case with every County Councillor, I have a locality budget to spend on community projects in the division. My County Council responsibilities
I was elected to the County Council in May 2012.
I am the Labour spokesperson on the Adult Care & Health Cabinet Panel and a Member of the Pensions Committee.
Personal, professional and political details
I represent the St Nicholas Ward on Stevenage Borough Council. I am an executive Member with portfolio responsibilities for Safer Commmunities, Health and Older people.
I am a qualified and registered Social Worker; also a qualified and registered Teacher and until recently was an FE lecturer in Health and Social Care.
